Catalyzing Partnerships
Strengthening the leadership and organizational capacity of DC charter schools
Catalyzing Partnerships is PDCSE's flagship leadership and organizational support initiative designed to help public charter schools strengthen the systems and leadership practices that drive long-term success.
What We Do
We work alongside school leaders to strengthen the systems that matter most—from academics and operations to talent, finance, and enrollment. Through tailored coaching, strategic planning, and collaborative problem-solving, we help schools build on their existing strengths while developing the internal capacity to achieve their goals.
Catalyzing Partnerships isn't about adding another initiative to a school leader's already-full plate.
We embed our work within existing leadership structures, meetings, and priorities, providing practical support from experienced former school leaders who understand the realities of leading a public charter school.
Together, we create the space for more strategic, planful, and forward-looking conversations—helping leaders make stronger decisions today while building the capacity and systems needed for tomorrow.
Built around your school.
Every school enters Catalyzing Partnerships with different strengths, challenges, priorities, and aspirations. Our approach is intentionally tailored to each school's context rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all model.
We start with what is already working, identify opportunities for growth, and partner with school leaders to determine the strategies that will have the greatest impact.
We believe in the leaders we partner with.
School leadership requires vision, resilience, and an extraordinary commitment to community. We partner with leaders who are building something meaningful and have the courage to strengthen the systems, structures, and leadership capacity needed to sustain their impact over time.
The Right Conditions for Partnership
We partner with schools that have:
❋ Strategic Readiness
The leadership team is prepared to engage in meaningful, and often challenging work❋ Unrealized Potential
School that are not yet achieving the outcomes students deserve, but have the foundation and commitment to get there❋ Mission Alignment
Schools that serve students who need and deserve transformational educational opportunities❋ Operational Stability
Schools that have the financial health and organizational capacity to implement new strategies effectively❋ Growth Mindset
School leaders view excellence as a journey and are willing to adapt based on evidence and learning❋ Collective Impact
School leaders believe that sharing learnings with others is valuable How it works: Turning Insight into Action
We begin by listening deeply and understanding your school's unique context, strengths, and challenges. Together, we translate what we learn into a focused roadmap and practical actions that build lasting organizational capacity.
